

“At HCAF15, Houston born filmmaker Trey Edward Shults debuted his intimate family drama ‘Krisha’ at Opening Night at the Museum of Fine Arts. This year’s festival will double as a homecoming of sorts as well. HCAF19 will also screen dance films, jazz documentaries, performance films and design films. The HCAF will screen films from Texas filmmakers, international filmmakers, LGBTQ filmmakers, Asian filmmakers, Latino filmmakers and films from many more underrepresented groups. HCAF19 will screen several documentaries about the African-American experience such as “Black Rodeo,” “Always in Season” and “Cry of the Third Eye, The Last Resort.”īut HCAF19 will have films for every movie aficionado and every demographic.
